Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
