I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
